In one of the residences of the Mezzacapo family, marquises of Neapolitan origin who later moved to what was formerly called Rheginna Major and now called Maiori, the Cuomo family decided to create Minihotel IRIS and give their own interpretation of tourist hospitality by combining family warmth and the comfort of a small hotel, offering guests the freedom, flexibility, and intimacy of a small structure that is always attentive to details. The six rooms, all different, are inspired by flowers and recall their colors in the furnishings and some details. All equipped with a private bathroom, WiFi connection, and minibar, they are cozy dwellings where guests can rest after a day at the sea, a walk along the paths, or a boat excursion. Minihotel IRIS is just outside the center of Maiori with a convenient private parking and a large terrace overlooking the green lemon groves and the Reginna stream where guests can have breakfast or relax in the open air. A stone's throw from Minihotel IRIS, guests can enjoy the wonderful sea of the Amalfi Coast, with its characteristic beaches and coves to discover; not far away is the ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi, with its paper mills still producing the characteristic Amalfi paper; the exclusive Positano with its fashion and Ravello with Villa Rufolo, Villa Cimbrone, and the Ravello Festival. Easily reachable are also the city of Salerno and its ancient medical school, Vietri sul Mare with its famous artistic ceramics, Cetara to taste the anchovy sauce and red tuna, Sorrento for its wood inlays. Finally, there are also maritime connections to the fashionable Capri and Ischia, interesting all year round thanks to its thermal baths.
